The Optimus System Processor manages a configurable measurement solution that provides high precision and throughput data for up to 2048 measurement channels.
Pressure is measured with ESP Miniature Pressure Scanners or the new MicroScanners, and then converted to a digital value within the Miniature Scanner Digitizer Interface (mSDI) units. Engineering Unit measurement values are calculated within the Optimus System Processor and reported via Ethernet at data rates up to 1GBit/second. Users preferring to calculate engineering unit data in their own host computer can receive measurement values in binary format via the Ethernet interface.
The Remote Processor (RP) is the rack-mounted interface for the PCU and PSU, which provides a complete pneumatic, electrical, and communications interface to the PCU and PSU.
The Remote Power Supply (RPS) provides precisely regulated power to the mSDI, which distributes the power to connected pressure scanners through the mSDI.
The Micro Scanner Digitizer Interface (is the connection point for the pressure scanner's cables and provides power to the scanner, stimulates feedback measurements, and performs analog-to-digital A/D conversion at high speed.
The ESP Pressure Scanner is a miniature electronic differential pressure measurement device that consists of a set of silicon piezoresistive pressure sensors, one for each pressure port.
The scanner cable is used for the connection of the ESP pressure scanning valve in the Initium or Optimus system and is fastened with a screw locking method. The interface is a miniature DB15 connector and the cable material is a low-noise shielded cable, which realizes the effective transmission of information and data.
The 908X Cable adapts to the Optimus series of mainframes, as well as the DTC INITIUM mainframe, and is a dedicated connection cable between these devices and the 9IFC, 90DB, or 90DC.
