VC-01 Handheld Vibration Calibrator

未标题-1.png

I. Overview

VC-01 is a small, portable calibration instrument. It provides a stable vibration reference source, which can easily and accurately calibrate accelerometers, velocimeters and displacement meters, and also test the measurement system composed of sensors to determine whether the sensors and the whole measurement system are working properly. The instrument has the characteristics of small size, light weight and easy to use.

III. Working Principle

VC-01 uses a back-to-back installation of a built-in standard acceleration sensor and an external sensor under test to perform the test by the comparison method, using closed-loop control to provide a highly stable vibration reference source. When the instrument is in operation, the internal signal source generates a standard sine signal of 159.2 Hz, which is driven by a power amplifier to make the sensor under test vibrate at 9.81 m/s2.

IV. Use and maintenance

4.1 Use process

4.1.1 Fix the sensor under test on the calibration exciter and connect the cable of the sensor to the input of the back stage test equipment.

4.1.2 Press the button on the vibration calibrator to bring the vibration calibrator into normal operation. After stabilization, the calibrator will provide a 9.81m/s2 vibration reference source,

and the user can calibrate the sensitivity of the sensor under test, or detect whether the measurement system constructed is working normally.

4.1.3 The vibration calibrator will turn off automatically after about 50 seconds of stable operation, if you need to continue to use, you need to press the button on the vibration calibrator again.

4.1.4 During normal operation, the LED glows green; when the LED glows orange, please screw down the lower part of the calibrator and remove the battery for charging.

4.2 Precautions

4.2.1 When the output value of the back-end test equipment of the sensor under test is unstable, check whether the sensor under test and the connecting wires are securely installed; and

check the battery voltage, as the calibrator cannot provide an accurate vibration reference source when the battery voltage is too low.

4.2.2 When the weight of the sensor under test is more than 120g, the vibration reference source provided by the calibrator cannot reach 9.81m/s2.

4.2.3 The heavier the weight of the sensor under test, the more power it consumes during operation, and the operating time of the battery will be shorter accordingly.

4.2.4 When using the calibrator to calibrate, be sure to pay attention to the instrument's vibration isolation to avoid external vibration on its vibration condition.

4.2.5 Battery voltage is automatically detected: when the LED glows green, it works normally; when the LED glows orange, please charge the battery.

4.2.6 The time for the calibrator to establish steady state is less than 10 seconds.

4.2.7 The instrument is calibrated regularly, usually once a year, and the factory is responsible for the calibration.

4.3 Maintenance of the instrument

4.3.1 The cable plug, the sensor and the connection socket of the instrument must be kept clean and dry to avoid sweaty hands. Once contaminated, use a clean silk cloth with a little

solvent to wipe and dry the dirt.

4.3.2 If the instrument fails, it can be returned to the factory for repair. Warranty period: valid for one and a half years from the date of delivery.

4.4 Battery Charging

4.4.1 During normal operation, the indicator light of the calibrator glows green; when the indicator light glows orange, it indicates that the internal battery is low.

4.4.2 Please turn down the lower part of the calibrator to see the 9V rechargeable battery inside the instrument (as shown in the figure below). Take out the 9V battery and charge it with

the charger provided, when charging
