The Optimus Fiber Optic Interface Unit is a system component within the OSP. It is a module that provides noise-free data communication between the OSP and the mSDI scanner interface over a 62.5 micron multimode fiber optic cable. The fiber optic cable extends the OSP over mSDI distances. The thin flexible cable allows the user to place the mSDI into a wind tunnel model and acquire data via sting while making pressure and force balance measurements.
